Vinny is a passionate artist and student of form. Vinny has a working understanding of it, honed from observation of various historical and cultural references. It is not unusual to hear him speak of fractals and recurring ratios in nature.
He has spent many years acquiring skills beyond the scope of woodturning, in order to produce art that has more impact and expression. He uses skills such as pyrography, scorching, branding, texturing, pigments, dyes and finishes to produce his results.
Vinny is recognized nationally in Woodturning Symposia, teaching in demonstrations, and is also, currently, president of the local American Association of Woodturners club: Pikes Peak Woodturners.
His most current "Flower Vase" series has attracted collectors of fine woodturning through out the country.
